NASA/GSFC has awarded the follow on Mechanical Integrated Services and Technologies (MIST II) contract to Aerodyne-SGT Engineering Services LLC (ASES).  As a member of the ASES team Vertex Aerospace provides Thermal and Mechanical Engineering support to the Engineering Technology Directorate (ETD). The principal purpose of MIST II is to primarily acquire engineering services and related services to the Mechanical Systems Division (MSD) and the Instrument Systems and Technology Division (ISTD), as required, for the formulation, design, development, fabrication, integration, testing, verification, and operations of space flight and ground system hardware, including development and validation of new technologies to enable future space and science missions. The engineering areas of emphasis are multidisciplinary with concentration in the mechanical engineering areas of materials, structural analysis and loads, mechanical design, electromechanical design, thermal design & analysis, contamination and coatings, manufacturing, integration and test, optics, cryogenics, detector systems development, laser and electronic optics, and, microwave instrument technologies.
